Euromix™ NPS Primer is a solvent free primer, designed specifically for use on non porous surfaces, like; PVC, metal, glazed bricks, high density concrete and most fired tiles. NPS Primer provides an excellent base for the application of Euromix renders, textures and paints over non-absorbent surfaces.
Product Summary
Euromix™ NPS (Non Porous Surface) Primer is suitable for internal and external use as a prime coat for non-porous surfaces, where subsequent paint, texture and/or render coats are to be applied. NPS Primer is suitable for application over water based paints and waterproofing membranes.
Product Name
Euromix NPS Primer
Packaging
15 litre plastic buckets.
Appearance
In the bucket Primer appears as a blue viscous liquid. After application and upon drying Euromix Primer finishes to a slightly textured opaque blue coating.
Application
It is recommended that the Primer be thoroughly stirred in the bucket, using a power stirrer, prior to application.
Do not dilute NPS Primer.
The Acrylic Primer can be applied by long bristle brush, or by roller. Only one coat of NPS Primer is required for all situations.
It is imperative that a ‘wet-edge’ is maintained at all time.
Avoid applying Euromix Primers, Paints and Textures in windy conditions or in temperatures outside the range 10°C to 32°C. Keep newly coated areas protected from rain and moisture for at least twelve (12) hours, longer in the lower temperature range.
Do not apply if rain or frost is imminent or possible before the product has properly dried. Painting over wet or damp substrates will most often result in some form of failure, including possible discolouration and / or peeling.
Where rain is likely after the application of Euromix Acrylic Primer, it is required that the coating be shielded from moisture getting onto the finished surface (and into the substrate) for at least 24 hours.
Drying and Curing
Drying and curing of the product is affected by type, dryness and porosity of the surface, temperature, humidity, ventilation, climate conditions and application technique and therefore drying and curing can only be given as a guide (at 25C & 50% RH):
Touch Dry
Recoat
Twenty four (24) hours.
Euromix Primers and Paints not only provide the colour for your wall or ceiling finish, they also improve the functionality of the finish system.
