AAC Acrylic Finishing System

Euromix offers numerous products for use in finishing systems over autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) hebel panels and blocks.

System Scope

The Euromix AAC finishing system summarised here covers;

Cementing of joints.

Fixing of PVC mouldings and fibreglass mesh.

Application of a base coat of render, to a nominal thickness of 3-5mm, with some make-good of variations in level / alignment of substrate, as allowed by the thickness of render being applied.

Application of a finish coat of render, to a nominal thickness of 2-3mm, finished ready for a textured decorative finish (1-1.5mm thickness) or paint.

Such a finish will hide most surface imperfections and reduce the impact of minor structural imperfections and misalignment of walls, depending on their severity. This is the minimum finish recommended by Euromix for AAC (and most other panel wall systems).

Euromix Renders are designed for use as a decorative finishes, they are not meant to be used in ‘engineered’ applications (where special strength, movement, hardness or other performance characteristics are required).

AAC HEBEL ADHESIVE

Euromix AAC Adhesive

Euromix AAC/Hebel Adhesive is preferred in installation of hebel & aac blocks prior to application of Euromix Render System for extreme and tough bonding.

HEBEL 1ST RENDER COAT

Euromix FP Render

Apply Euromix Full Polymer (FP) Render throughout entire of wall to 6-8mm in thickness and ready to straight edge to straighten walls as much as possible (allow minimum 24 hours to dry)

TOP RENDER COAT

Euromix FP Render

One first coat of Euromix Full Polymer (FP) Render is dry, apply a secondary coat of Euromix Full Polymer Render to 2-3mm, and finish it to a float finish, ready for Euromix Texture Coating. In cases where Sponge Finish is required, refer to Step 5

SKIM COAT

(OPTIONAL)

Euromix Skim Coat

If Sponge Finish is specified, please use Euromix Skim Coat - finish to float and sponge finish.

TEXTURE

COATING

Euromix Texture

It is always highly recommended in AAC & Hebel to use a Texture Coating to provide flexibility and enhance aesthetics. Can be tinted to colour of choice.
